The MAKING WAVES: An Ocean-Inspired Evening of Art & Giving 2026 Soup Up the Arts was....INCREDIBLE!!!! Record breaking in all aspects and our heads are still swimming. We are overwhelmed with gratitude and appreciation for our school, our club, our kids, our community, our sponsors, our supporters and to every single person who was a part of making this event happen! We will have a grand total of funds raised for the families by the end of March! It's a WOW number though!!

In full transparency...we still have Soup Up the Arts decorations everywhere, we haven't seen the surface of our desks in weeks, the quarter is ending, Spring Break starts Saturday and grades are due soon, so we are a bit 🤪 in the art rooms right now, hahah!

Info for any SHS dual enrollment seniors!

SFSC STUDENTS: If you are planning to graduate this spring, please review the following deadlines to ensure you are all set:
🎓Friday, March 20, 2026 = deadline to register to participate in the May 12, 2026 Commencement ceremony (Visit southflorida.edu/current-students/graduation)
🎓Friday, March 27, 2026 = deadline to purchase a cap and gown at the SFSC Bookstore OR bring a borrowed cap and gown to the Office of Student Services be approved for use
Students who miss these deadlines are welcome to participate in the December 2026 ceremony.

The FGCU (Florida Gulf Coast University) Bel Canto Choir visited the SHS Choir room during 1st period. Under the direction of Dr. Ijames they sang several songs, talked about FGCU & the various ways students could be involved in music programs & choirs. They were amazing!
