The PSAT/NMSQT will be given to all 10th and 11th graders on 10/23.
Students are expected to bring the following on test day:
Acceptable photo ID if you're an away student or testing at a school you don't regularly attend. (
Fully charged testing device with Bluebook™ installed. (Bring your Chromebook fully charged, app is already installed)
Acceptable calculator
, if the student doesn't wish to use the built-in Desmos calculator in Bluebook.
Pen or pencil for scratch work (doesn't have to be a No. 2 pencil).
Students may choose to bring the following on test day (unless prohibited by their school):
A power cord and/or a portable charger. (Access to an outlet during testing isn't guaranteed.)
An external mouse and mouse pad if you use one.
An external keyboard if you use one. (Only permitted with tablets—not laptops.)
Students are prohibited from bringing the following items on test day (unless they have an approved accommodation):
Electronic equipment including phones, smartwatches, fitness trackers, wearable technology, cameras, recording or listening devices, or any other type of electronic or communication device except for their testing device used for the digital test and, if applicable, any assistive technology as part of an approved accommodation.
Books, reference guides, notes, compasses, rulers, protractors, dictionaries, highlighters, or colored pencils.
Papers of any kind.
Watches that beep, make a noise, or have an alarm.
Calculators that aren't acceptable.
Detachable privacy screens.
Reference guides, keyboard maps, or other typing instructions.
Ear plugs.
Brimmed caps, which may be worn into the testing room but must be removed and stored under the student's desk during testing.
Note: Hoodies have to be down during testing.
Ear buds.
Headphones (unless approved for a screen reader/text-to-speech).
Weapons or firearms.
