About SHS

Sebring High Mission Statement

"In the four years at Sebring High School, our graduates will obtain a quality academic education in a nurturing environment that successfully prepares them for post-secondary studies and beyond."

Our Beliefs

Sebring High School needs to function as a center for learning and promote opportunities for all those who have a stake in the success of our school to work together as a community of learners.

A safe and physically comfortable environment promotes student learning.

Students' learning needs should be the primary focus of all decisions impacting the work of the school.

Each student is a valued individual with unique physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs.

Curriculum and instructional practices should incorporate a variety of focused learning activities to accommodate differences in learning styles and individuals.

Students learn best when they are actively engaged in solving problems.

Assessments of student learning should incorporate a variety of tasks to measure the achievement of the expectations for their learning. An appreciation of cultural diversity can increase students' understanding of different people and cultures.

A student's self esteem is enhanced by positive relationships and mutual respect among and between students and staff.
